THE COMPLETE GUIDE
Cookie Policy
The cookies and browser technologies actually used by MP3 Converter Online, their providers, purposes, lifetimes and controls.
What this policy covers
This policy lists the browser technologies actually used by the current MP3 Converter Online implementation. Cookies are small values held by your browser. The owner session is necessary to deliver your requested conversion; remembering language and future tool settings is optional. No browser-based advertising or audience SDK is installed. Operator and production infrastructure details remain unconfirmed as explained above.
Actual cookies and browser storage
All listed cookies are first-party and host-only, with Path=/ and SameSite=Lax. Secure is set on HTTPS; local HTTP testing does not use that flag. Only the owner-session cookie is HttpOnly. The consent record is not a visitor identifier. The registry used for this table also supplies Cookie Settings, so purpose and retention details remain consistent.
| Provider / key | Purpose | Technology | Lifetime | Activation | Control |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| MP3 Converter Online — mp3_session | Necessary | First-party host-only HttpOnly cookie | 7 days from session creation | When a tool requests its owner session | Browser cookie controls; access to jobs may be lost |
| MP3 Converter Online — mp3_consent | Necessary | First-party host-only cookie | 180 days after Agree, Reject or Save, equally | Only after an explicit choice; no visitor identifier | Cookie Settings changes the choice; browser controls remove the record |
| MP3 Converter Online — mp3_language | Remember language | First-party host-only cookie | 180 days from the latest saved language | After permission to remember language | Disable Remember language or Reject optional |
| MP3 Converter Online — mp3_tool_settings | Remember tool settings | First-party host-only cookie | 180 days from the latest saved settings | After permission to remember bitrate and channels | Disable Remember tool settings or Reject optional |
| MP3 Converter Online — mp3-consent (BroadcastChannel) | Necessary | Same-origin tab messages; memory only | Until the page closes; no persistent history | When the consent interface initializes | No analytics use; synchronizes your current decision |
Technologies that are not used
No GA4, GTM, AdSense, external CMP, session replay, third-party crash reporting, social widgets or external media embeds are connected. No cookies from those SDKs are listed as active. The implementation uses neither localStorage nor IndexedDB to record a visitor history, and it does not use fingerprinting, cross-domain decoration or a shared visitor ID across sites. Files and job tokens are not stored in the preference cookies.

What happens before you choose
The default profile is strict for this installation, including unknown regional applicability. Before a choice, only necessary service operations and aggregate totals derived from them continue. Optional preference cookies are off. There is no third-party cookieless measurement. A future approved GA4 Advanced configuration would require denied consent defaults before its first event, reviewed regional conditions and an effective opt-out; cookieless is not automatically exempt.
Agree, Save, Reject and withdrawal
Agree enables all currently available optional purposes, which are remembering language and tool settings. Manage Options lets you save either preference independently. Reject optional disables both in one click. Opening or closing settings, pressing Escape or continuing to use the site does not mean agreement. Cookie Settings is available in the footer on every language version, with your current saved choice.
Withdrawal deletes only the known cookies for the disabled optional purposes, without clearing other browser storage. It does not remove mp3_session, cancel an upload, interrupt a queued job, revoke playback/download or request file deletion. Information already transmitted and downloaded copies cannot be recalled. A future provider must use its own controls for cookies this site cannot directly remove.
Duration, browser controls and tab synchronization
The 180-day choice lifetime is a project setting, not a universal legal term. Agreement and refusal last equally long. Changes are synchronized between tabs on the same origin through transient messages, with cookie refresh when a page regains focus. No decision is shared across unrelated domains. If browser storage is unavailable, the current page still respects the choice; another page may ask again. Clearing cookies in your browser also clears the record and may remove the necessary job session.
GPC and future changes
A detected Global Privacy Control signal preserves advertising restrictions; Agree cannot silently remove that restriction. There is no active sale, sharing or targeted-advertising provider in this installation. New active purposes must be disclosed in the registry and request the necessary new choice before use. Future GA4, GTM, AdSense or CMP activation needs real provider configuration and verification; these prepared integration boundaries do not mean those providers are currently installed.
